Fashion is something about carrying yourself in a lustrous way. And when it comes to Fashion weeks it reminds one about Lakme Fashion Week. Lakme Fashion Week is all about ravishing models wearing famous designs by designers on a ramp and ending up with a final show stopper for each designer. It is promoted by Lakme(HUL), the number one cosmetics and beauty service brand in India and IMG, global leader in the management and production of fashion events. Lakme Fashion Week has been conceived with a vision to “Redefine the future of fashion and integrate India into global fashion world”.

The Lakme Fashion Week is organized twice every year. It can be argued that fashion weeks across the world focus on the clothes rather than on pyrotechnics. But the same has not been found here in Lakme Fashion Week and perhaps that is why it is loved; is asking for a little drama from Bollywood’s favorite’s designers asking for too much?

Lakme Fashion Week had its swan song for the season with the grand finale show by Manish Malhotra. Sabyasachi Mukherjee , Neeta Lulla, Anamika Khanna and Narendra Kumar the well known faces rather than well known designers uplifting the Lakme Fashion Week. Apart from them there are numerous designers who are engaged in holding up this Fashion event. New talents have been great contributors in the success of this fashion event. Astha Bahl, Aditya Khandelwal, Abhi Singh, Amaal Raj Sengupta, Anit Arora, Archana Kochhar, Arjun Agarwal are some of the designers who are constantly increasing the value and class of this event by their eye catching designer wear. From top class models to Bollywood celebs everyone participated in this event.

Every year mostly it is held in Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel as it is in the center of Mumbai (Bombay). Aircel, part of Maxis Communication Berhad and a leading mobile communication service provider were the main sponsors for this event. Co-sponsors were like DHL and Himalayan. Official partners Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD), Blenders Pride, Max Bhupa Health Insurence, Tata Aria, Cappuccino Collection, Kingfisher and Fashion and You. Official supplier was Burn. All in all Lakme Fashion Week is full of blast of creativity and one of the leading fashion events.
